Running Wiring Between Floors

To run WireTracks on the top floor and WireTracks CM on the lower floor, follow these steps:

1. Choose a wall that is shared between the top and bottom floor.
2. Remove the crown molding.
3. Cut an opening into the wall behind the crown molding.
   
4. Drill a hole into the top plate from the opening.
   
5. Attach a push rod to a bundle of fish lines and push it into the hole.
   
6. Remove the WireTracks channel cover/baseboard assembly.
   
7. Remove the WireTracks channel or drill a hole in the back of the channel directly above the opening you cut behind the WireTracks CM. To get an exact measurement, measure the distance of the opening from the shared adjacent wall.
   
8. Use a bent wire hanger to hook and retrieve the push rod.
   
9. Pull the bundle of fish lines from the WireTracks channel to the opening behind the crown molding.
10. Use these fish lines to run any wiring, now and in the future.
