Standard Installation
- Remove any existing crown molding.
- Mark stud locations with a pencil where crown molding will be installed.
- Cut a small piece of crown molding (approximately 2").
- Create two WireTracks CM assemblies.

Note: The next four steps of this procedure will determine
the entire success of your installation. Proceed carefully.
- Place a straight edge, such as a ruler against the flat end of
one side of the crown molding.

- Place the male connector of one WireTracks CM assembly against
the back of the crown molding and line the female connector up with
the straight edge.
- Carefully remove the adhesive from the back of the male connector
and adhere it to the back of the baseboard molding. Make sure connector
is parallel to the edge of the crown molding.
- Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the other side.

- Choose the wall where the first piece of crown molding will be
installed.
- Remove the adhesive labels and carefully place the crown molding
assembly on one side of the wall, against a stud.

- Remove the assembly, leaving the female connectors attached to
the wall.

- Attach two new female connectors to the baseboard assembly. Remove
the adhesive labels and carefully place the assembly on the other
side of the wall, against another stud.
- Remove the assembly, leaving the female connectors attached to the
wall.
- Snap two chalk lines between the female connectors on both sides
of the wall.
- Place female connectors in the stud locations along the chalk lines.
- Reinforce the female connectors with screws.
- Attach the male connectors to the female connectors and remove their
adhesive labels.
- Carefully place crown molding against the assemblies until it sticks
into place.
Note: Make sure the back of the crown molding is very clean.
- Wait two minutes and carefully remove the molding.
- Run any wiring.
- Reinforce the male connectors with screws and reattach.
- Repeat this procedure for each piece of crown molding.
