Installing WireTracks

To install WireTracks in a new application, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you have enough WireTracks NC (new construction) wiring channels for the area where you will be installing.

2. Make sure you are wearing safety goggles,

3. Install the WireTracks NC wiring channels along the base of the wall using the enclosed screws. Make sure to reinforce it next to the connecting points.

Important: Make sure to leave enough space under the channel for the flooring material that will be installed.
Note: You can also use standard WireTracks wiring channels, but installing the wallboard will be more complicated.

4. Install the wallboard above the WireTracks NC wiring channel, using the wallboard shelf to support the wallboard. If you are using standard WireTracks wiring channels, install screws about 1/4" above the WireTracks in each stud. Then, use the screws to support the wallboard.

5. Follow normal procedures for taping, texturing, and painting the walls.

6. Install the WireTracks wiring channel cover.

7. Cut the molding to the same length as each wall. The molding can overlap channel covers.

8. Apply glue to the wiring channel cover.

9. Attach the molding to the wiring channel cover.

10. Wait until the glue sets and remove the wiring channel cover/baseboard assembly.

11. Use the provided screws to attach the cover to the baseboard molding.

12. Reinstall the wiring channel cover.

Bonus: To simplify painting, remove the wiring channel cover/baseboard assembly and paint it separately.
