Tools and Other Requirements

Before installing WireTracks, make sure you have the following:

  • Enough WireTracks wiring channels for all walls and door frames where it will be installed.
  • Enough baseboard molding for the project.
  • Cordless Drill/Screwdriver and Pencil (highly recommended).
  • Miter box or compound miter saw (also known as a chop saw).
  • Appropriate saws for cutting WireTracks and baseboard molding within miter box (not necessary if using compound miter saw).
  • Drywall hand saw or cordless circular saw (e.g., Makita 5090D).
  • Molding Adhesive (e.g., PL Polyurethane Premium Construction Adhesive).
  • Automotive screw-type dent puller (recommended when retaining existing baseboard molding).
  • Safety goggles.
